The act of reflection is one of my favourite things.
For me, 2016 was filled with both highs and lows. Reflection offers awareness around feelings created, according to how certain events affect my physical and emotional health. Practising reflection allows me to turn my attention and energy towards attracting and doing an abundance of things that are aligned with my personal values.
As I look back over the year that was, I am proud to share with you my highlights of 2016.
Time with Loved Ones
On a personal note, I had a wonderful time embracing my inner child, visiting farmers markets, doing fun movement and harvest time in my fruit & veggie patch, friendships, births, birthdays, weddings and spending time with loved ones. My first trip to the Grampians in April was a nature escape highlight. I’ll be back for another hike in 2017 🙂
This year was also special as many of my school friends and I turned 30! We had an incredible time celebrating this milestone with a camping trip from Darwin, along the Gibb River and into Broome. You can check out my photo memories across on Instagram.
I love to support my personal growth, by expanding my knowledge in areas of love, health and happiness. I enjoyed travelling to Sydney for Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) training, the Sunshine Coast for Yvette Luciano’s Soulpreneurs course, Tahlia Pretty’s local Soul Shine workshop and the numerous nutritional medicine seminars around Adelaide and the Barossa Valley. My top read for the year -apart from my own of course 🙂 is ‘One Bite At A Time- Reduce Toxic Exposure & Eat The World You Want‘ by Sarah Lantz and Tabitha Macintosh.
Shared Hormone Health Love
If you’re a regular reader of my blog posts, you’ll realise my love for empowering women to take control of their hormone health. If you missed them, some of the most popular blog posts of 2017 were:
- How Oestrogen Dominance May Be Affecting Your Health
- The Hidden Hormone Disruptor In Your Food
- The Hormone Imbalance Causing Energy & Weight Issues

In 2017, I enjoyed being interviewed on my favourite topic of hormone health, for Three D Radio, That Paleo Show, The Kale Brock Show, Adelaide Matters, Fitness Professional Global Summit and the Gut Healing Summit. You can also read my hormone health related articles in the Simply Organic Magazine, Kadac Health Magazine and across at Nutrition Republic.
In my Naturopath Clinic Aloe Health, I welcomed back fellow Naturopath Isabel Treagus from maternity leave as we continued to support women to better health through private consultations.
Launched My Book
In September I proudly launched my hormone health book: Balanced, The Natural Way To Healthy Hormones! I am so grateful for everyones support as I have since sold out of my first run of books. You can catch up on my book launch highlights here and the good news is the eBook version is still available.
As part of my book tour, I spoke at Shine On, Raw & More Cafe and travelled to Emu Ridge on KI and Santosha Health & Wellbeing Cantre in Renmark to spread my hormone health message. If you missed out, keep your eye out for an exciting talk at Nutrition Republic in the New Year.
